New music to weekdays (October 31, 2012)

Our fave Adelaide indie trio At Sunset are back with their 2nd single and it takes it to another level production wise.  Melbourne indie trio Emaar (see JOY Volumes 1 & 2) are back after a 3 year hiatus and out & proud Ruby Rose decides its time to sing as well!

US independent Sean Ensign gets a guernsey for being out, proud and talented!  Far East Movement get a rare outing on JOY, with a great new dance track.  Finally Richard Grey & Sebastien Drums re-work a classic motown funk track from 1980, originally released by Ray Parker Jnr!

New music to weekdays (October 24, 2012)

Ru Paul's drag race sensation Mimi Imfurst and her girlfriends are Xelle and they're back with a fourth single. Check the video for cameo appearances from many of the drag race stars.  Russian trio Serebro are back with a 2nd poptastic offering and Canadian trio Dragonette release the 2nd single from their 3rd album - check the video - interesting lesbian overtones - although lead singer Martina Sorbara is not actually one, apparently.   Aussie contributions from Johhny Ruffo and debut artist Sinead Burgess with Her Royal amazingness Princess Kylie dropping her new single from the Abbey Road Sessions in for us this week.

New music to weekdays (October 18, 2012)

So can I get an OY OY OY from you lot this week? Ready ... Aussie, Aussie, Aussie ... First up is the only openly gay contestant from The Voice this year, Yshrael, who brings us his debut single. More gay and very local from Peter Wilson, and he's also on writing duties for local independent lass Sammy Paul this week. More local excellence from another of our favourites, Empire Live, and Sunshine Coast lass Zia rounds out the Aussie additions this week. Adding to the lesbian count is the follow-up UK #3 single from Stooshe (Courtney is the gay one). We round it out with new offerings from favourites Leona, Kelly and The Killers. And finally, new from Sweden is Alesso, stepping in where Swedish House Mafia are stepping off, teaming up with Carly Rae Jepsen's LA-based boyfriend, Matthew Koma.

Thanks to Dave from Diff'rent strokes for the heads up on UK girl group Parade's free download for "Light Me Up".  Dave also recommended Little Mix, as did Dick from A touch of Pink and Leo from Sound Museum, finally they get an official Australian release this week.   German faves Cascada are back with their first official assault on the Australian charts since Evacuate the Dancefloor in 2009.  Calvin Harris and Florence are amazing together, Adele is licensed to thrill....and No Doubt are back to their mid-nineties best. Aussie goodness comes from Strange Talk and the return of 2003 Idol Alumni Cosima!  Dave Audé & Luciana round it out with a fab dance floor filler.

A great new dance floor filler from Zoë Badwi kicks off the Aussie assault on weekdays this week.  Ricki-Lee joins her there with the fourth single from the current album and Reece Mastin is back with more ink and probably another top 5 performer.  The UK's Little Boots covers a gay anthem, Lesbian twins Tegan & Sara get "closer" to mainstream than ever... plus Rihanna & Ke$ha both kick off the lead singles to their forthcoming new albums.
